AG Country Farm Credit Scholarship
AgCountry Farm Credit Services is offering scholarships for high school seniors entering college in the fall of 2021. Scholarship awards are $1,000 each.
Applicants must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR must be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture such as agricultural extension, agricultural education, soil conservation, farm and ranch management, agricultural finance, veterinary medicine or agribusiness.Applicants must be residents of a county served by AgCountry in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. (See application form for full county list.)
Selection is based on academic aptitude, vocational promise, personal attributes, leadership and financial need. Children of AgCountry FCS employees and Board Members are not eligible to apply.
Application Deadline - March 1st, 2021. Please note, Ms. Anderson needs to fill out a section on this scholarship so have it to her no later than February, 22nd.

Scholarship criteria:

This $400 scholarship emphasizes the importance of community service, leadership, and making a positive impact in the community while getting life experience that will help one develop as a person as well.

Norman and Bernice Ueland Memorial Scholarship
The Norman & Bernice Ueland Memorial Scholarship committee will present one $500 scholarship to be awarded to a senior attending Marshall County Central High School. This scholarship will be disbursed in the recipient’s second semester of college (upon successful completion of first semester classes as verified through a college transcript).
While class rank and GPA will be considered when evaluating applicants, preference will be given to students who are (any of the following):
- Involved with 4-H
- First generation college students
- Interested in pursuing teacher education (students majoring in other areas are encouraged to apply)
- Leaders in the school/community
- Involved in extra-curricular activities

Tri-Community Scholarship
Tri-Community Scholarships are awarded each year to seniors who have submitted an application and have participated in a scholarship interview. Scholarships vary in amount, as well as the number awarded each year. ALL SENIORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!

1. Submit a typed letter to the Tri-Community Scholarship Committee. The letter should include:

Earl Gast Memorial Scholarship
Scholarships are renewable for up to a total of four years if the recipient meets the following requirements. For a scholarship to be renewed, the recipient must continually (except summer) be enrolled as a full-time student in a technical school, two year college, or four year college/university and must maintain a grade point average of at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale while in college. Please note, continuous enrollment can be waived in the event of an injury, illness, or emergency situation.
The scholarship is based on:
- Scholastic Achievement (grade point average, work ethic)
- Citizenship (following laws and rules in and out of school)
- Community Involvement (volunteering, participating in community organizations, church, etc).

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

- Information about community involvement, if any (church, 4H, volunteer, etc.)
- Information about future plans, including educational plans for the next year

Margot Dahl Scholarship
Margot Dahl taught high school English and Spanish at Marshall County Central for sixteen years. She was a teacher who strived to help students achieve excellence in all aspects of their lives. Academic excellence was very important to her, but she also believed that students should become active in their school and community. She hoped that students would participate in service activities and hold leadership roles.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
- This scholarship is not based on financial need. It is based on academic achievements, community and service involvement, and leadership.
Procedure:
Eligible students must submit a typed essay that includes the following:
1. Write about one high school accomplishment in academics and explain the importance to you.
2. Write about one participation in service and community activity and explain the impact it had on you.
3. Write about one leadership position in school or community service activity and explain how the skills you learned can be used in the

- A $500 scholarship is available with a potential for an additional $500 in a student's second year of college
